Courtesy of the lovely Heather March, (www.heathermarchcasting.com), we landed ourselves a lovely job with Mark George (www.markgeorge.com) shooting a Huggies still in a gorgeous house in Ealing belonging to Lorna Garvie and family. So we rock up in our little van, park in Lorna’s drive and bingo! We have a full on English breakfast with grilled smoked mackerel and vine tomatoes, field mushrooms, old spot bacon, scrambled eggs…. all produced in our little ice-cream van!
Huge thanks to Claire Blackmore for being super efficient and a little darling!
No job is without it’s miss-haps…… I had ordered 8kg of Gloucester Old Spot pork shoulder to slow cook for 24hrs and 18kg arrived! Without time to rectify it went into the oven, but when I took the meat out in the morning it still needed more time. So I turn up to the location with this beast, which of course wouldn’t fit into a domestic oven. Where there’s a will there’s a way and so with a little manipulation and a broken shoulder, it finally went in the oven and oh were my clients happy, melt in the mouth pork, gravy, crackling and parsnip and apple puree!!!
Here’s one of the little Huggies in action with photographer Harriet Logan..
Some curly kale…
And Sea Bass on crushed pots with watercress and caper dressing…
Thumbs up from the team
My client Mark George digging in…… I got a kiss at the end, so I think we managed to please!
Heather – have you had that baby yet??
Bye for now x
